She's gone

M just called to tell me she didn't make it through the night. Somehow, I knew. I haven't felt well all week. I had a dr. appointment Monday, but I came back home that afternoon for a while before coming here. I spent about an hour with her sitting next to me. I said goodbye and told her I loved her. I knew I wasn't going to see her again.

I knew I'd be losing her soon. I just hoped she'd hang on until I was home again. But at least I got to spend most of the last few weeks at home with her.

I have to skip my classes today. There's just no way I could manage right now. At least I have a long weekend to recover. I'm going to try to make the drive back to the house, though it may be slow.
