I skimmed, thinking it meant the opposite. Expecting the opposite, in fact. Especially given their track record on homosexuality. And given the sort of day I'm having I just got ready to rant. Then I went back and re-read.

Hahaha... I did the exact same thing. When I got to the middle of the article and saw a comment that was the exact opposite of what I was thinking it was talking about, though, I had to start over from the top.
