*jaw drops* That is good news. Granted I would love for all religious groups to support full rights for gays, but even small steps are appreciated. (At this point I will take any and all good politically related news.)

I skimmed, thinking it meant the opposite. Expecting the opposite, in fact. Especially given their track record on homosexuality. And given the sort of day I'm having I just got ready to rant. Then I went back and re-read.

Hahaha... I did the exact same thing. When I got to the middle of the article and saw a comment that was the exact opposite of what I was thinking it was talking about, though, I had to start over from the top.

'bout fucking time, I'd say.
Now if we could get the other stupid religions to pull their heads out of their asses, we'd be on to something.
And I'm not even gonna comment on their opposition to legal equality for same-sex couples... It makes me too pissed.
It's sorta... We don't believe they should have the same rights as 'normal' people, but gosh and gee, we shouldn't really kill them...
or am I being cynical?
