Monday recovery
Schlepped the parents to the airport this morning, and actually enjoying a work day today (despite being ridiculously busy) because it's a nice respite from the nonstop physical work over the last three days.
It was a good weekend, though. We're finally rid of the apartment (though it didn't get as clean as I'd hoped because we didn't have an easy way to get large amounts of trash out of the garage), and we got a ton of boxes unpacked and their contents placed in appropriate locations. Bookshelf, curio cabinets and such are all 99% properly packed, now. Living room and dining room have window coverings. My dad went around and did paint touchups and a few other little fixes and such, which was great. Even had a bit of time for mom to color my hair, since it's been about two months since I did that last and I was starting to look pretty trashy.
Still lots more on the list to do, but we're very close, now. We should be into a normal life rhythm (including real weekends!) after this weekend's housewarming festivities, and I suspect every household member will be grateful for that.
