Well, now..
This is quite fascinating.
From an interview with Stephen Daldry, the director of The Hours and Billy Elliot, explaining his marriage to a woman:
"Lucy and I have known each other for many, many years, and we wanted to have kids. But if anybody asks me if I'm gay, I'd say, 'yes' because politically, it seems important to say you're gay. Whether that means you have to engage in gay sexual activity, God knows."
Now, as someone who has crusaded for bi visibility, I have to admit there's something there that rankles me, but on the other hand, he's honest about who he sleeps with, and that's pretty damned cool. I'm all for pushing the envelopes.

hmmmm...
I identify as a lesbian, but currently have a huge lust-thing for a man. But that is only one very specific man and does not extend to others. My preference is still for women. So I would still say I am a lesbian, perhaps with pansexual leanings...
oh fudge this whole label thing!
BTW... I found you through Bag End Inn... and was just too thrilled to discover another queer LOTR fan! I don't spend much time on the 'net and so have only scraped the surface of the fandom to find it is overwhelmingly heterosexual... so I just had to add you! I hope you don't mind. :)
Re: hmmmm...
And yeah, on the label thing. I rather enjoy making up my own. One size does not fit all. :)
