So, McClatchy is taking over Knight Ridder.
I suppose it certainly could've been worse, since Gannett was rumored to be interested.
So strange to hear that name again, considering how much of an impact McClatchy's business dealings had when I was a wee thing. I haven't heard much in recent years about what they're like. Not that it will likely matter to me in the immediate future, I suppose, but there is always a possibility I may end up working for one of their holdings in the future. Not the B'ham Herald, for various reasons, but perhaps the Tacoma N-T. Dunno.
