39 pages of my brain anatomy coloring book and I am finally going to bed.

My hand hurts. And I don't think I retained much of anything from the exercise. Maybe when I've slept all the pretty colors will make sense.

Tomorrow I get to force myself to do interviews for a story for my reporting class. I haaaaate doing interviews. Really. I hate calling someone up and bugging them when they're trying to have a life, and then ask to bug them even more for an in-person interview where I ask four questions that could've been answered in e-mail. But because e-mail is "bad journalism" I don't get to do that. Although my prof couldn't explain the reasoning behind that. If you're doing a big story and need to spend some quality time with a source to get the full picture, sure. But if you're just calling up the local transit authority to ask why they moved a transfer station? C'mon. That doesn't need an in-person interview that wastes both my time and the time of the poor slob who has to deal with me. I'm not lazy. I just believe in efficiency and courtesy. Unless it's someone's job to talk to the press, or they want to talk, having a reporter interview you is a pain in the ass. Unless I need to be a pain for some reason, I don't see why I should.
