So, I'm officially off sabbatical today, which means I'm getting my ass in gear and doing a bunch of bill paying and other big-picture financial stuff.
I'm also apartment hunting, and kind of annoyed by it all. I'm finding that most of the places that don't look like dumps don't take pets, so if I had an emergency with Kitty Bob, I wouldn't be able to take her, even for a few days. Of course, if it came to that, I'd bear the commute for a few days to be able to take care of her more-closely here at home. I think we've at least gotten the feeding schedule thing down to a science, so hopefully that will help.
I also found a gorgeous place in a brand new building in Fairhaven that I want want want, but it's far more expensive than we'd budgeted for. It doesn't take pets, either, of course, but man... it's beautiful. I also found a 2 bedroom in a 4 plex that's almost new, too, for about the same price. And that one takes pets. Unfortunately, I get the feeling I'm going to be stuck living in some skanky place with a bunch of screaming kids and car theft. And being stuck there for 9 months is going to be hell.
And I also just found out I probably won't be hearing back about my student loan stuff until after classes start, so I need to figure out a way around that, too. We can cover it, definitely, but budgeting for the rest of the year gets weird when I don't know how much that loan will be.
Gah. I'm still so twitchy about this. I know I need to just calm the fuck down, but it's just becoming too real, too fast. Registration starts tomorrow morning, and I still have so much to do here, too.
*fret*
