This is the result of growing up in redneck country, and listening to AOR stations through most of my youth. This is not, however, my favorite kind of music...

The Veteran
You scored 88%!
You've picked up the majority of the classic rock basics. You probably have a classic rock collection and can sing along with most of the songs on your local radio station. This is not the highest score, but it is arguably the best: that subtle combination of impressive knowledge and not being a pretentious geek.

My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:

Oof, 94% here - but once again I can't cut'n'paste it to my lj, wah! Oh well...

This only has a tiny amount to do with this post, but it has *something* to do with it. :P

I know that you are totally musically trained, and I wondered if you could point me in the right direction to find out what key/range I sing in.

Which may be impossible without listening to me.

I'm just so tired of going to Karaoke and having to pick girl-pop because I can't hit the low notes on the boy songs I want to sing.

Anyway, any help you can provide would be stellar.

Yeah, without hearing you, I wouldn't be able to pick out what key is best for you. That said, if you can't sing low enough to sing most tenor pieces, and you don't feel comfortable enough singing them an octave higher, you're likely an alto.

What singers do you feel most comfortable singing along with?

That's the weird thing- I sing along with all kinds of music, and, you know, IN MY CAR I sound fantastic. But when I'm at a microphone, I can't make my voice produce the notes loud enough to project. You're probably familiar with this situation, though. It did surprise me, though.

Letter's to Cleo I can nail perfectly, Michelle Branch is apparently my specialty, Avril Lavine. I don't nessesarily like the last two, but I can sing them perfectly.
