So, Sims 2 is now installed.

Which probably means I won't surface all weekend. Not that that's a bad thing, mind. It'll help me get over this stupidass cold.

Great game. Sucks up a shitload of system resources, but it's worth it. They didn't just upgrade graphics and basic funcitons, it's a whole new game. I'm really impressed. The only thing is that they need more items, but I assume those are coming, especially from third parties.

I hate laryngitis (that's where my cold is sitting right now) but I admit, it's damned funny when I try to laugh and sound like a cross between Elijah and a barking seal.

Heh. Hubby Chris bought Sims 2 last week, had time to browse the book and the demos off and on during the working week, and just has started into the scenario. I think "playing the game" isn't quite the terminology, but I'm watching a bit now and hope to join in shortly. Looks like a lot of fun, but I'm not a big gamer (had the first Sims for a bit, got quickly frustrated/bored and didn't pursue it).

For more items, Chris's set comes with access to Julian and Ricky and Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys, which if you don't know about it, is a Canadian sitcom/pseudoreality show that is entirely reprehensible and probably incomprehensible to most outside of Nova Scotia; he can't wait to add them in to Veronaville!
