Dale passed away about 10 minutes ago.

23 years old.

I've kept quiet on these posts, primarily because I haven't really had anything to add; trite pleasantries and "I'm thinking of you"s never really feel useful to me. I consider you both friends and, as such, it's a given that I think of you.

I wish I could be there to offer my support to the both of you, but since that's not possible, please pass along a hug to Mike and have him give you one from me (it would be awkward to hug yourself). It's terribly sad that he's passed, but at least he's no longer suffering.

I'm sorry. This still feels inadequate, but I had to say something. Be well, both of you.
