*headdesk*
The cat is very lucky he's so damned cute, or he'd be charcoal right about now.
He stepped on the power button for my battery backup/power strip.
Thus shutting down my entire computer instantly.
While I was in game.
...
I was not in battle, and was actually about ready to log out, but STILL. DOOD.

Sore and sweaty
It's sad how I'm so proud of myself for getting through two nightmare songs and one impossible one. On easy, yeah, but I got 3.5-4 stars and 88% or more.
However, had I actually tried to play some of that stuff on a higher difficulty? Yeah. Neil Peart has absolutely no reason to fear for his job. Ever. Ever ever. (Nor Roger Taylor, Gina Schock, Keith Strickland or any of the other amazing people whose skillz I now respect even more than I did before. Gah.)
Also, I need to find a way to keep my pedaling from pushing the kit away from me. Hmm.

Good and bad of the last few days
The bad:
Someone managed to get our credit card number somehow and racked up about $1k in fraud charges yesterday. The good part? BofA contacted us almost instantly about the charges and closed the account and is issuing new cards to arrive Tuesday. That's some damned fine customer service. I was really impressed. The screwy part is that I'd already sent off that number to pay for the year-in-advance fee on our yard service, so I need to call them and tell them not to do that. Sigh...
We never managed to get to take a look at our gazebo this weekend--too busy with other stuff and we're both feeling under the weather. I'm probably going to end up calling Mr. Handyman or something to take a look at it. Frankly, neither one of us is great with that sort of stuff.
My health insurance people are dumb as posts. I switched back over to M's when my contract ended, but apparently they never actually told their prescription benefit wing that I was back with them as primary again. This resulted in having to pay $60 for a prescription. Good god. They will be hearing from me tomorrow, ohh yes.
The good:
Christmas is finally mostly put away, save for dead tree parts sitting in our garage waiting to go out with yard waste and the box of old recieved cards to pack up. I definitely need more storage space, though.
We drove around a lot this weekend, and managed to produce something Very Interesting in our trek. More news on this as it develops.
My funk, while still present, is lifting at least a little bit. Or seems to be. I'm tired, but not inert, which is progress.
The good, but kind of lazy:
I played a bit more RB2 yesterday, and will probably start working on more tomorrow. M has agreed to buy me more songs, too. *glee*
I'm also having a lot of fun back in LOTRO, too. I've fired up a new warden character, who is completely awesome. I have a lot of ground to make up, though, since I basically stopped playing for the entire time I was working.
M kicked my ass with a two-day Monopoly game. The electronic banking edition streamlines things a lot. I recommend it.
The well, that's that:
Heard back from the doc earlier this week. She wants to send me to a regular endocrinologist to treat my illness since I'm no longer trying to breed. Understandable, but still kind of weird.

*facepalm*
I can see now that I'm going to need to wear gloves of some sort when I'm playing drums.
An hour of RB2 just gave me two big ol' blisters on my left hand. Yaye.
Also? I can't coordinate my hands and feet to save my life. Gah.
