I'm always amazed by people whose entire attitude is about non-conforming, breaking stereotypes and social "rules" of dress and behaviour, yet they freak out the minute they're confronted by someone who breaks those rules in the way they dress, talk, walk or who they sleep with.
Personally, the difference between sex and gender is why I prefer the term transsexual rather than transgendered. I sometimes don't care either way because most people don't know the difference, but if pushed I prefer transsexual, because it's an accurate descriptor as far as my personal experience goes. I'm not just interested in *looking* masculine, I know I *am* male deep inside.
