Update on Dale:

For those who don't know, Dale is back in the hosptial again. Last week he had a serious kidney issue because of a blocked ureter (he only has the one kidney, so that's pretty critical.) They discovered that one of his new tumors has been putting pressure on the ureter and closing it off, plus there was also some scar tissue on it. They got that part dealt with, and then have been spending the last several days trying to get his kidney function back to normal so they could do the cat scan and see whether the new tumors were growing. They finally did get him in for the scan, and discovered that yes, the tumors were growing, despite the naturopathic treatment he was on. That treatment did help his kidney function, however, so they're keeping him on it, and they're now doing another chemo round to try nail the cancer. There's apparently about a 20% chance of full remission with this particular form of chemo.

Mike's been back since late yesterday, but will probably be spending most of his upcoming weekends in Portland.
