I have to say I always thought that "female power of creation" thing to be stupid - aside from the young age and beauty stuff, there are millions of women like me who never wanted children ever anyway, no way and under no circumstances. But we're still female, right? Yet apparently worthless because of not being interested in the procreation thing.
Also should mention, as someone who has read pretty much everything GRRM has ever published, from before you were born (I note in passing {g}) into the present, Arya is my favourite character of his EVER. No matter how weird her life becomes (and if you've read all the books, you know how weird her life becomes), she's still herself, and she's always independent. I think she should be the Heroine of the Tweenies (as she's just 12 or so by now), only Tweenies are way too young to read A Song of Ice and Fire....
