This and that
Good news:
An adorable Beagle won at Westminster for the first time ever
The writers' strike is over!
It should be sunny all weekend (Yay! Bring on the Vitamin D!)
Even in losing, Hillary still brought in more voters in Maryland than the entire GOP field combined (minus Romney's votes).
Australia finally officially apologizes for mistreatment of natives
Not-so-good news:
Bank of America is randomly hiking rates for some credit customers
Bad news, then good:
Blue Cross attempts to extract patient info from doctors to deny coverage; outrage makes them stop
Funny in a creepy way:
McCain still dogged by Kristians (Creepy that these people are so numerous that they have such a huge effect; funny that they're probably going to abandon him in November.)

As for the Blue Cross debacle, nasty nasty! I always worry about that sort of thing, not for myself obviously, but because of my s-i-l - she has extremely severe rheumatoid arthritis and is dependent on my brother's health insurance for treatment, but until very recently my bro has tended to move from job to job frequently, with concomitant changes in health care. I think he must be able to negotiate that matter, because certainly no health insurance provider would want to pay for S's very costly and ongoing-for-life treatment!
