Well, so far, this morning has sucked.

I was up fairly late last night studying for my psych quiz. So I had a hell of a time prying my carcass out of bed this morning. But I did it, and braved the still-slick streets and walkways to get to class.

Only to find out that the prof was not there and had cancelled the quiz. Way to let us know about it, fuckwit.

To top it all off, I slipped and fell on the slushy floor in the classroom, banging up my knee. Would've had worse injuries if my fat ass hadn't cushioned my fall. Guess there's a good purpose for it after all. ;)

I'm going back to bed here shortly. Our art director is out sick today, so I'm going to have to do more for this issue and will need to rest up. I hope the sounds of people spinning their tires in the ice doesn't keep me awake. (Seriously--how stupid do you have to be to think that gunning it will do anything other than create a bigger ditch for your tires to get stuck in?)

Not surprisingly, there are a number of "snow days" here, and school boards actually get the news out to the local radio and TV news stations, to inform parents and kids when school's been canceled - don't think they do that at the university level, although I suppose they might! Sometimes businesses also make such announcements, when there's a really bad storm; Chris's plant was shut down during the Ice Storm, literally the only time it's ever been shut down in the then-20 years he'd worked there, and it's not happened in the 8 years since either, although we've had some pretty intense storms in that time....It'd be nice if your professor did the same thing, huh?
