PS: I still like Fear Factor!

Somehow, that doesn't surprise me (says the dork who watches Extreme Makeover: Home Edition) ;)

I dunno, maybe I'm just a knowledge whore. I like learning new stuff. I like figuring the world out and thinking about solutions for problems. Some people get off on extreme sports--I get off on extreme sociocultural theory. I could fiddle while Rome burns, but that's just not my style. Even when I was a kid and roaming the streets every weekend with a bad 80s haircut and quasi-goth Rocky Horror friends, I still was deeply into what I was learning in school, too.

Not that I'm Mr. Uber Serious. I'm a horrid procrastinator, for one. I've been late to class because I was playing a video game. And I would really rather watch Lost than read my editing textbook. But if all I was doing was amusing myself to death, that would get boring, too. I guess I just think that the world is full of all sorts of cool things to do and see and know about, and it seems silly to me to cut oneself off from some of it. I'm limited enough as it is for reasons I can't change. No sense in adding my own limits.
