I just saw Brokeback again tonight. I must say, seeing it in a proper theater, with proper sound and closer to the screen really enhanced the (already-great) experience.

If you haven't seen it yet, and it's playing anywhere within an hour's drive, GO. Watch closely, don't expect to be hit over the head with anything, and just sit back and relax. It's a challenging film--it needs an active viewer--but it's damned worth it.

It was nice to see the theater was about 80% full--in Lynnwood, mind--but there were about half a dozen people that left once they realized what they were watching.

What's with people who have no idea what a film is about before they see it? Not surprising that people too stupid to even read a synopsis are also too stupid to enjoy the film.
