Where it all began
Any non-Andrew fans here who want to better understand why I suddenly went ass over biscuits for some random D-list British actor? Syfy is reairing Alice starting at noon this Wednesday.
Truthfully, the whole mini can get a little tedious sometimes, the lead is serviceable, but slightly dull and there are some plot holes a mile wide. But the production and costume design are sublime, Kathy Bates and Colm Meaney are great and there are a couple of other good cameos, too. Plus it has Matt Frewer. That alone is worth the watch.
But yeah, the real star of the show is a charming, scruffy Yorkshire lad who's channeling the love child of Jack Sparrow and Han Solo. So watch it and swoon. Or watch it and don't swoon. Whichevah tickles yer fancy. ;)
