This makes the third time in six months we've been down. Three hours so far. Quite sick of it.

And to make things worse, my little old lady has decided to go anorexic. I got her to eat some chicken last night, and a few spoonsful of her squishy food, but otherwise, nada. Apparently, this is common in later stages of renal failure. So, time to call the doc again, which we really can't afford, especially not after finding out that the little old man may have heart problems and thus needs expensive tests.

And somehow, I'm supposed to manage all this with a n term starting next week. Joy.

Is it too early to call a do-over on this year already?

PUD is finally working on our downed lines. There's a supervisor there this time, too. I suspect that's because the lines are the same ones that came down last time. Then, it was a huge uprooted tree at fault. This time, 'twas merely a branch. I think someone didn't do things right last time.

To stay warm and occupied, we finally saw "Casino Royale." Not entirely sure what I think. I liked the story, and adore Judi. Eva is lovely, if bland. But, with apologies to some of my flist, Craig just didn't do it for me. He came off too rough and low-class. Yes, I know that was part of the story, but it was Craig himself that made me think that, not the plot. It seems like he'd fit better in traditonal action films. He doesn't have the refined look Bond needs. He doesn't clean up well enough. Nice bod, but the face isn't chiseled enough.

Too damned much to do in my one day left here. At least the cat is sort of eating again, and in better spirits. I need her to hang on til I'm done with school. The stress of treating her--not to mention the wreck I'll be when she goes--just doesn't mesh with classes. It's not like they'd understand me taking family leave for a cat. So if y'all could think good thoughts her way, I would appreciate it.
