That's it. I HATE my features prof with the fire of a thousand suns.
Ok, so the stupid wench tells us to feel free to contact her via e-mail with any questions. So I've been doing so. The most recent one was sent Friday. I asked her if she'd had a chance to read over my rough draft for my general feature, and whether I should continue on that topic, or switch to something else. I also asked if it would be possible to do my profile on a different subject than my general feature.
Two simple questions. That's all. I was even polite enough to apologize for our disconnects so far this term.
This is what she sent me back this morning:
Shawna,
Thanks for letting me know about Wednesday. I think e-mial is an ineffective form of communication when you are having this level of difficulties with the class. Please see me; office hours are 12-2 p.m.
Monday, 8-9 a.m. Tues., Thurs., and by appointment.

Oh, and yes, the typo was hers.
So, instead of just answering my questions in a timely fashion so I know what to do, she's blowing me off, therefore making it impossible for me to get the assignments done on time.
How fucking hard is it to answer the question, "do I go forward with this or not?" Good lord.

Hot damn! Just found out that a class with a prof I really like is substituting for this next term, and I'm now on the list for it. Hooray! I can dump this godawful class!
Of course, it does mean that I'll probably be disqualified from the scholarship I'm getting, since I'm dropping down to 3/4 time, but under the circumstances, I can take it. I haven't even budgeted for that money anyway--we're just running on loans. I would rather have the mental bandwidth available for the rest of my classes than waste it on this crazy lady.
