First, belated congrats to
miss_swamp and
livingdeadpan on getting hitched. The pics look lovely!
I spent the weekend in B'ham at the conference, which was interesting. I got to tell one of the guys from ESPN.com how fucking annoying autostart video and audio are. He tried to justify it by saying advertisers wanted it. I told him they should be aware that that drives potential visitors away.
I had a co-worker with me for the weekend. She is crayyyyyzeeeomg. We--well, she, I just kind of was there--went out to the Fairhaven Pub Sat. night and had a few. She danced a lot. Including getting on the stage and dancing with the band. I was amused. She's fun to have around.
Have the day off today to recharge and run errands. Then back to the grind tomorrow. It's going to be a busy week, as I have a good half dozen projects I need to finish by at least Saturday. Three of them are about 90% done, though.
Added another article to my clips gallery, for folks keeping up with that.
Finally going to go see POTC2 this afternoon. Might see Cars or Over the Hedge if we're up for more than one flick.
I feel like I could sleep for a month, and the heat isn't helping. Bleh. I have a doc appt. Weds. to try to figure out what's going on with my messed up insides.
The good part is that while I was in B'ham, I started taking a closer look at campus, to see if I could find a better way to get to my building without dying. I think I may have found a route. It's technically a longer distance, but there are no hills, and only a short chunk of incline involved, unlike the much steeper hill up from the lower parking lot. It involves needing to take the bus, which means a longer commute, too, but I think I can manage that. It won't be pleasant in the rain, but considering the unlikelihood of my getting better parking or transportation, this may be my only option. It does, though, mean my schedule is going to have to be carefully constructed to make that route feasible. There's really no way for me to hike all over campus to get from class to class if they're on opposite ends. This may mean having to ditch my psych classes, which would really suck.
