Well, two of my grades are in. I got an A- in reporting and the expected C (at least it wasn't a C-) in biopsych. Now to just wait on my ethics grade. And unless I completely hosed the last project, I should get at least an A- there, maybe an A. I only missed 2.5 points out of the 70 for the rest of the term, so I should be okay with the last project.
Of course, until that posts, the system thinks my current GPA is 2.85, which is lower than what I ended up with when I left PSU. O_o. I should end up with somewhere around a 3.25, though. Not great--damned C--but not terrible, either. And my GPA for my major--which is what they pay attention to--should be somewhere around a 3.6.
Adding in all the classes I took since leaving PSU my senior year, my total GPA is 3.5, and the whole shebang since I started college 18 years ago is about 3.03. Given how many of my low grades were due to circumstances beyond my control, I think that's not too bad. Gimme another couple of terms without a psych class dragging me down and that should get even better.
Not that any of this really matters. I'm not trying to get any scholarships, and the honor roll requires at least 14 credits per term--I just finished 13 and that nearly killed me, so, no. And graduating with honors requires a minimum of 90 credits in residence. Not gonna happen. My total should be only around 70, unless I start taking a bunch of electives. Even if I did the theater minor, I'd still have only 85 or so, and I honestly don't have the time to spend on that. Interestingly, though, the total GPA required for a Cum Laude graduation from Hum/SS is only about 3.77, which is almost within reach. I'd only go for it if I don't get an internship this summer, though. That's pretty much the only way I'd be able to get the extra credits I'd need. And honestly, it's just not worth the stress. I'm going to get the degree, not to prove I'm SuperStudent.
