Man, I've been stuck out here in the burbs too long.
Feels good to go have a great concert and then hang out with folks, gabbing for hours over dimly-lit, cheap, greasy food. So good to see
heyokaboy after much too long. Need to remedy those gaps.
Tommorrow and Monday are the "move the office or die, idjit" days. Somehow I need to get all of this stuff cleared out and put into the new place. If it were just furniture to move, it wouldn't be a big deal, but I have to go through 5 years worth of paperwork and various other collected stuff and weed out so I don't have the same clutter problem in the new digs as I have now. The Clean Sweep people would probably find me quite the project.
Or I may just sit around and play Sims 2 and watch CSI reruns (since
mekle now has me hooked on that damned show.) Of course, it helps that Jorja Fox and Eric Szmanda are so damned cute.
Nah, I should be responsible. For the first time in my life. ;)
ETA: Was just thinking about the concert, and realizing that my favorite part in the whole thing (to sing, at least) is the part in the Agnus Dei where the altos start out with the "whom may we seek" bit and it just builds, builds, builds and then BANG, huge, huge crash of this dark, dangerous wail for a page or so. It's just so damned juicy. So huge and bombastic and nasty. Very Wagnerian, actually. I just love sinking my teeth into bits like that.
