Pimped by many on my flist, this is awesome.

I set up an 80's technotrash playlist, and I plugged in Berlin, Depeche Mode, Alphaville and Ultravox, and it's already figured out I should be listening to Yaz, Animotion, Thomas Dolby and The Human League. Gee, those actually do happen to be in my collection...

:D

Had a pleasant weekend with the parentals, involving much food, much shopping, much embarassing nostalgia, much exploiting of my mother's gullibility and a viewing of King Kong, which was great. A little over the top on some scenes, and overall about on a quality par with the non-extended TTT--not PJ's best, but even his not-perfect stuff is better than most other films, so no complaints.

Still have some gift shopping to do this week, fortunately just for local folks. Two weeks until classes start again and I'm already wishing my break was longer. Too much to do.

I just tried the Pandora site and, well, my tastes are far too eclectic for it - the only music it added from my list (Translator, Waterboys, Alejandro Escovedo, Rank & File, The Clash, U2, Stones, The Call, Nick Cave and Robert Johnson, which I threw in as a sample) was Big Bill Broonzy, whose music I already know. Wah!

OTOH, check my "King Kong" review on my lj, a bit more detailed than your comment! :->

Pandora's perfect for me, because I was basically asleep as far as pop music goes for the about 20 years. It's helping me play catch up!
