angsty whine of the day

textualdevianceSo, I'm sitting here waiting to be called for seconds changes, which could be as late as 8 p.m., and expecting to be able to go home after that.
Then I see the snow.
Crap.
If I don't get out of here before 4ish, I'll be stuck here again tonight. And maybe much of tomorrow, depending on further snow/icy conditions. Technically speaking, I do have one more class tomorrow, but it's just review for the final, so I'd planned to skip it.
I have to get my newswriting final in next Weds, then my history final is the next morning, so I have to come back for at least one more night, but I was kind of hoping to mostly pack up and go home. I have things I want to do there. And virtually nothing I want to do here. At least that involves being stuck in a boring apartment with construction noise rattling my brain.

ETA: I'm home! I fired off a mail to my editor telling her I'd make changes in email if necessary and then braved the drive at dusk. It was really thick and starting to stick until I got out of Whatcom county. But I made it, and am looking forward to spending the weekend working on my feature and studying for the history final. Oh, who am I kidding. I won't do a damned thing until Monday at the earliest. Which is of the yaye.
