Why does it seem that the more I try to solve a problem, the worse it gets? I'm getting to the point where I just want to ignore when something goes wrong and hope that the Forces of the Universe see fit to fix it, because the minute I stick my fingers into something, the messier it gets.

And in even happier news, I just discovered that a course that's required for my degree-- Econ 200-- has a pre-requisite of Algebra competency. WTF? Look, I can figure out a formula in terms of understanding that net income = gross income - (taxes + deductions) and various other things of that type. I can figure out how compound interest and mortgages work. So why the heck would I need full Algebra for this? Maybe I can find it somewhere else without that ridiculous requirement. Because I am NOT wasting my time and money with a math class. Bleh.
