one bright spot

textualdevianceThe last two weeks have sucked in multiple ways on multiple levels, but I did find one bright spot today. If I can't get in at UW or WSU (because the fuckers are apparently hyper-picky about postbac admissions) SOU has a journo program, too. Plus a media studies concentration, which might be cool. It'll be far more expensive, because I'll be doing non-resident tuition, but living in Ashland for 9 months would be far preferable to some of the other options. And even though it's further away, I like that idea better than Pullman. Eastern Washington. Ew. Nasty.
I just want one thing to go right. Everything else has been so shitty the last few weeks. I thought 2005 was supposed to be better. People suck, the government sucks, the Oscars suck, the weather sucks, Mama Earth needs a midol and I feel like shit. I just want it all to go away if it's not going to get better. I may have to resort to playing hours of Zoo Tycoon to ignore the world. Meh.
