Ah, employment
Had another interview today with my old team, and this one paid off! Woot! I'll be taking over for the main news producer while he's on his contractor vacation, and then I might go back to (something resembling) my old job when that's done. Just the ~90 days for now, but probably the full year, or something like that, if things work out.
I go to the agency office tomorrow for paperwork, and I'll start on the 6th. Which leaves me just a short time to finish everything else I have going on right now. Eep! :)
The cool thing is that the team's been moved out of suburbia and into one of the swanky new (still not even finished building yet) highrises in downtown Bellevue. Parking will be strange, though I'll be carpooling anyway, but it's been ages since I've worked in a highrise. Should be funky!
There are a lot of good things about this, but the best is that it'll keep me out of trouble while we're waiting for the house to sell and for a good mortgage/house combination to come up for us. Of course, when the time comes to actually buy and move again, it'll be chaotic with me working, but we'll manage. We at least got the hard part done already, so it'll just be a matter of throwing a few things in boxes at the villa and unloading the Pod at the new pad. We can probably be mostly moved in in a couple of weekends when the time comes.
Now all we need is an offer on the house! C'mon, buyers!
