Sooo tired
I'm a bit sunburnt after wandering around at the ren faire for three hours yesterday--sans sunscreen, of course. I'm also all congested because of the dust, so I couldn't use my machine last night, making me even more tired. Bleh.
I need a real weekend. I've had some sort of work to do at least one weekend day for the last three weeks, and it's bugging me. Even though I've had some Mondays off, too, it's not quite the same thing. I'll probably be stuck covering the fair and the blackberry festival, too, so there go more weekends this month.
The commute is also starting to wear on me. I've been doing a lot of driving to get to various events, and combine that with two hours to get home and back on my (rare) weekends, and it's just tiring.
I like the job--though I'd like it better if I wasn't so bored during the last couple of weeks--but the schedule is really starting to wear on me. I have five weeks left, then I get only two weeks between the end of this and when I have to be back in B'ham for pre-launch Front meetings. In that time, I need to move out of my current rat trap and back to the bachelor pad, have a bunch of doctor appointments and figure out how I'm going to navigate campus for my bizarre schedule. Downtime? What downtime?
I just want to sit at home for a month and do all the projects I've had sitting here gathering dust. I want to play some video games and socialize with my cats and muck around in the back yard and finish cataloging my music collection. Meh. Not gonna happen, I'm afraid.
