So my first choice for an internship finally posted its openings. There are only two I'm remotely qualified for, and I suspect my lack of much official editing experience (unless they count my webmastering) is going to kill my chances. I'm sending in a resume anyway, but I'm not expecting anything.
Other than that, there's one position at a newspaper that I'm going to try for, but then I'm kinda screwed. Most internships actually fill up in December, so I'm getting quite the late start.
And since there isn't really anything interesting for me to take summer term--none of the classes I need for major or minor are being offered, except the newspaper staff--I might end up just sitting around doing nothing all summer. Not that that would necessarily be a bad thing, I guess. I could use the downtime after this.
But the real downside is that I have to wait again for next summer to try for another internship, thus setting my degree process back one term. Bleh.
