So, we went to Victoria

Got a bug up my ass Friday night so we packed up and headed north yesterday morning. It's been a while since we were in Vic, and I forgot how much I love it there. Wish we'd had more time to enjoy it.

This is the view from our hotel room. It was lovely. We didn't really do much except drive around and have some really good food. We were too tired to do the Gardens, but that's OK. We were just doing downtime anyway. I feel a lot more relaxed and ready to face work again tomorrow.

Canada is wonderful for a quick relaxing getaway! We've never actually stayed in Victoria, though... we usually end up staying in Nanaimo when we're on Vancouver Island.

Speaking trips to Canada, we need to make a quick border run someday soon... time to go grocery shopping again!

Wish I knew you were going, I'm not far away. I would have recommended a walk over the bridge past Spinnaker's Pub to the Head Street marina, or a small wildflower park not far from Butchart's that is a glorious bit of nature (I used to live beside Buthcart's), or the rhodo gardens at UVIC. Maybe next time?
