Mutual acceptance!
Our buyer took our counter-offer! It's not as much as I'd really like, but it's reasonable, and it'll still help us do what we need to do.
So now we just wait for appraisal/inspection (and I'm assuming those will both easily pass), and then sit around and twiddle our thumbs until closing, which right now is scheduled for mid-August.
I think that once we're just waiting around for closing, we'll probably start the serious house shopping ourselves. So far, I haven't seen any houses that really make my heart flutter, but there are definitely several I could be content with. We have quite a lot of time to make a decision, though.
