Must be an older picture of the family...There are 18 children in their family, total. Have you seen there shows on TLC? They are actually quite interesting.

Yeah, I heard about them a couple of years ago. I feel the most sorry for the older kids. They've known nothing except taking care of their siblings. Never had a chance to be kids themselves.

Hmmm, don't think I've heard of this strange family before. I remember hearing a couple of years ago about a book written by a man who was one of, I think, 14 children, the book describing the competition among the children for the attention of the parents, the concomitant intense sense of rivalry between the siblings, and the utter feeling of aloneness in such a crowd. I don't imagine that a huge "Christian" family would be any different, not on a quotidian basis and not in the feelings of the kids. Wish I could remember the name of the book and/or the author now. Scary, altogether!
