Ack

Calling all green thumbs...

I'm finally getting around to doing some planting in the back yard, and unfortunately, one of my plants has already been attacked by something, and I have no idea what it is.

Basically, the flowers are all covered in a clear, sticky film. I can't see any sort of egg pods or anything, just the film. Is that aphids or something else? And what do I do to fix it?

I grew up in a desert. I'm lucky if I don't kill philodendrons, so trying to sort out this outdoors stuff is a little confusing.

dilute some dish soap in water and wash/spray it down. it should kill the nasties and not harm your plants. not sure of the exact dilution though, sorry.

Cool! Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Sounds like slugs or snails to me.
