Wal-Mart to include gays in anti-discrimination clause

This is so fucking amazing. So, so many wonderful things happening....

"holy shit" were my thoughts exactly. for a company that can be as backwards as wal-mart to protect the rights of it's gay and lesbian employees is amazing, and wonderful.

First of all....ANIMAL!!! ANIMAAAAAAAAAAL!!! YEAH!

That's great to hear. We'll get there, bit by bit. Sometimes I feel all jaded and cranky, other times I see things like this and feel a bit more optimistic. I think the optimistic moments are, gradually, starting to outnumber the cranky ones.

Our workplace has a similar policy. Our Certified Agreement says:

"We are committed to preventing and eliminating discrimination on the basis of race, colour, sex, sexual preference, age, physical or mental disability, marital status, personal responsibilities, employment status, pregnancy, religion, political opinion, national extraction or social origin."

Doesn't stop them hassling union delegates, but hey...legally, we've got em.
