They probably won't die at the end.(Just a guess though, I've been avoiding spoilers like the plague).

I'll be getting mine tomorrow morning if stores aren't sold out by the time I get there (around 11). But since only the English version is released tomorrow (French translation comes out in December) and this is a mostly French-speaking town, I should get a copy.
