Okay, I just turned in that Xbox story.
If I get full points on it and the other two things I've turned in recently that I haven't heard back on, yet, I have enough points for at least the staff class to count toward my degree. If I get one more story (which I proposed today) and get good points on that, I'll have the minimum B- I need to apply for the major, which solves a lot of problems.
The really good thing about this is that, barring getting that other assignment (which is easy--I could do it in an hour) I only have one more piece to write before the end of the term, which is the feature final (my browncoats story) for the newswriting class. Other than that, it's just studying my ass off for the history final, which I should do okay on, I think. Plus, my newswriting prof (whom I adore--he's a sweetie) handed out grade assessment sheets and that says I'm tracking toward an A. Woot! So I may even manage to pull out a 3.0 for this term. Maybe higher. Not too bad, considering how crappy I felt about being able to survive it at all just a few weeks ago.
Now is the time on Sprockets when we nap.
Or at least we would, if they weren't sealing the courtyard outside of my window with the use of a very noisy compressor. Next week--dead week, of course--they put in new concrete. Joy. I'm tingly just thinking about it. I've seriously considered sleeping in my car in a parking lot somewhere. It'd be quieter.
